Innovation With No Ammonia (INOA)
DeAnnalyn and I are are lucky to be working with one of the greatest haircare companies in the world. 100 Years ago Eugene Schuller the founder of L’Oreal invented hair color, and today they are revolutionizing it. For the past 100 years we have used Ammonia to aid in the development of permanent hair color. Ammonia is a workhorse, and when used properly is completely safe. Now L’Oreal has developed a way to use Mono Ethanol Amine (MEA) an odorless agent used mainly in Semi- and Demi - Permanent hair color, in a Permanent hair color.
What does this mean?
- Zero Odor
- Decreased Scalp Irritation
- All of the performance of a permanent hair color with more respect to the hair.
L’Orel states that:
- The Natural Protective layer is 45% better preserved than with Traditional Permanent Hair Color.
- The essential amino acids and surface lipids are preserved, from the surface to the core, equal to that of NATURAL HAIR.
- Hair is 25% smoother and 35% stronger than after the service than with Traditional Hair Color.
The cool thing is this hair color doesn’t even launch until 2010, However we at TEAL are one of the select few to get to carry it right now. In fact TEAL got our care package on Friday October 2nd, and we already started playing with it.
Saturday October 3rd Mixing INOA to Exact specifications.
Crae Hassler a hair colorist from another salon was stopping by and wanted to see what the new hair color was all about.

So she rolled up her sleeves and got to work.
